Author's Journal:

The Hiatus of Failure

Hey, it’s me. The ninja, the author, Shinobi, or whatever else you can think of calling me.

I’m here to apologize, because due to a failure on my part, I have been painted into a corner on Homesick. Any attempts to continue the series with my current abilities would only lead to a painful slog of uninteresting and pointless drivel. A verdict I don’t serve lightly.

So, I have come to the difficult decision to put Homesick on an indefinite hiatus. I would like to say that I will eventually return to it, but I’m not sure if I ever will.

This is not an easy thing for me to do, since I deeply care about my stories. I have deeply considered every possibility for saving this series, and it just isn’t possible.

As some obscure character from a thing I read once said: “A work’s greatest fan is its author.” So, as Homesick’s author, this hurts me deeply.

There is good news, though. There are still four chapters left of Homesick that are of acceptable quality. I will post these chapters alongside Death and Grimm as per the usual schedule for the next four weeks.

Now, more bad news: Once all the reasonably good chapters are posted, the entire site will go on hiatus for about two months. (Sorry for the inconvenience.)

Back to the good news: Once the Hiatus is over, Death and Grimm will return in full force, and a new series will take the place of Homesick.

But wait, there’s more! During the Hiatus, I will be answering questions about the world of Homesick! As well as any spoiler-free questions about Death and Grimm. If I don’t get any questions (since I don’t have a lot of fans to ask them), I’ll simply post any information I find to be interesting.
